A Band Is Trying to Blackmail Itself Into the Lineup of the When We Were Young Festival

The band I SET MY FRIENDS ON FIRE were more than upset when they saw the When We Were Young Festival lineup and didn’t see themselves on it . . . so they took matters into their own hands.

They said, quote,

“Fine.  See you at the parking lot stage . . . Whatever you guys are paying MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, we’ll do it for half . . . We are going to meme ourselves onto this one way or another.”

The band then decided to purchase the domain name WhenWeWereYoungFest.com.  Yes, believe it or not, it was available.  The band also snagged the Instagram account.  And they say Live Nation can have both if they add them to the lineup.

The official When We Were Young address is WhenWeWereYoungFestival.com . . . and now organizers are probably kicking themselves for not also grabbing the shortened version.

The site confusion is already working as planned, because The Maine, one of the bands on the bill, tweeted out the wrong link.
