Dropkick Murphys have dealt with their fair share of unruliness during their shows but their annual St. Patrick’s concert in Boston got bloody on Friday night.
Video taken from the show shows bassist Ken Casey jumping into the crowd after a man who was reportedly elbowing and shoving other fans to get to the front of the stage. The man had also been given the mic to sing a few bars of a Dropkick tune but refused to give the mic back.
Security finally came and escorted the rowdy concertgoer from the building but not before Casey was reportedly hit in the head and bloodied by a beer can. Vocalist Al Barr said that when fans come to the show they’re coming to the band’s house “and when you disrespect us you’re disrespecting our house.”
