(Kathmandu, Nepal) — A Utah mountaineer is dead after he lost consciousness during a descent from the summit of Mount Everest. Early Wednesday morning, 55-year-old Donald Lynn Cash collapsed at the top of the summit. Sherpas brought Cash their oxygen, carried him below the Hillary Step and tried to revive him, but he died in the afternoon. Cash was part of a 15-member expedition led by Chinese climber Yuan Li, according to The Himalayan Times.
