The Japanese pop-metal act Babymetal has made history by becoming the first Japanese band to debut at number one on Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums chart.

“Metal Galaxy,” the group’s third album, sold 28,000 units in its first week of release in the U.S. Not only did that earn the group the top spot on the Rock Albums chart, but it also landed them at number one on the Hard Rock Albums chart and number 13 on the all-encompassing Billboard 200 chart.
