Chris Cornell Wins Posthumous Grammy

Chris Cornell was no stranger to winning a Grammy. The late singer earned three in his lifetime. But on Sunday, he won his first as a solo artist.
Beating out Arctic Monkeys, Halestorm, The Fever 333 and Greta Van Fleet, the Soundgarden singer took home the award for Best Rock Performance with his posthumous single, “When Bad Does Good”.
Appearing at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Cornell’s children, Christopher and Toni, accepted on their dad’s behalf.
The single, which was released by the Cornell estate in November, featured the last original recorded material from the singer before he committed suicide on May 18, 2017.
