While Ghost will perform at spring rock festivals like Sonic Temple in Columbus this year, lead singer Tobias Forge believes that his band could become a festival headliner in the future.
Speaking to BangerTV, Forge believes that once the current big names like Metallica retire that Ghost “could be one band for the future.” But he doesn’t believe that Ghost is the only band that could carry rock festivals, saying “But there needs to be a myriad. There needs to be several…right now the mainstream is dominated by Hip-Hop and it wasn’t ten years ago. Ten years from now it won’t be…there will be a new rock wave.”
Ghost’s latest album, Prequelle, has received a Grammy nomination, as well as it’s first single “Rats.”
Which newer acts do you think will be big rock names in ten years? Would you include Ghost on your list?
