In terms of iconic hairdos from the 90s, one of the more memorable is the dreadlocks hanging over Adam Duritz’s face. But recently he cut them off.
So why did the Counting Crows frontman go for the bald head look last August? “I was getting tired of it,” he reveals in a new interview.
His signature style might have a bit of a Samson like strength, with Duritz joking, “It’s entirely possible they’re the only reason I can sing well… We don’t know. Maybe I can no longer make records.”
Duritz didn’t let the barber sweep up his dreads; instead, he admits he has them in a bag at a friend’s house for safekeeping.
Ever make a major hairstyle change? What did you do? How long did it take to feel ok with the look?
