Disturbed singer David Draiman has come to the rescue of a fan who was receiving more abuse than she’d bargained for in the mosh pit.
In an incident revealed Thursday in an online video, Draiman stops a recent show after seeing a female fan getting bumped around too much in the mosh pit. After he invites her to join him onstage, a security guard lifts her out of the pit as the crowd cheers.
Draiman tells the young woman, “On behalf of the gentlemen of Disturbed, I want to apologize for you getting jumped into our gang. There are some crazy idiots out there who would call me sexist for insisting on protecting a woman. Anyone who isn’t as strong as you deserves your protection.”
