Don’t look for a world tour from the Foo Fighters this year. Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett said in a recent radio interview that the band is not having a “super heavy year.” The band currently has 17 shows booked throughout 2019, including Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio and Epicenter in North Carolina this May, which we are giving away tickets for in our Panda ticket drops this month.
Also no word yet on when they might return to the studio. Foo Fighters might be taking it easy in 2019 after the band wraps up their Concrete and Gold tour, but it’s just because they want to relax for a bit.
Of course, after frontman Dave Grohl used the word “break” back in October to describe his plans, the rumor mill went nuts with claims the Foos were calling it quits.
But that’s not the case, and Dave wants it to be known.
Speaking to Rock Cellar Magazine, Grohl puts the rumors to rest saying, “I don’t know when y’all are gonna see us again, but you will…because we’re too f*****’ old to break up. It’s like your grandparents getting divorced. It’s not gonna f*****’ happen.”
