Last week, Jack Black revealed to Tenacious D concertgoers that the band had recently done some recording with Jack White. Now behind-the-scenes footage of the “Jack Grey” session has been revealed.
The video kicks off with the D’s tour stopping off in Nashville to visit with the former White Stripes frontman at his home studio and indie label, Third Man Records.
Black announces that they’re going to lay down an unfinished single that they’re working on, adding, “but I think that’s where Jack White comes in and helps us pull it over the finish line. This is a legendary collab.”
Unfortunately, the cameraman wasn’t allowed in the room, so fans will just have to wait to hear the song in all its glory at a later date.
What would you expect from a Jack White-Tenacious D collaboration?
