Greta Thunberg’s address to the United Nations Climate Action Summit this week made quite the splash, as the 16-year-old activist called out world leaders on their environmental inaction.
One such fan is Lzzy Hale, who took to Twitter declaring Thunberg “our modern-day Joan of Arc.”
In her post, the Halestorm frontwoman sees the Swedish teen among other young women in history who have made an impact on the world, including Ruby Bridges, Anne Frank, Malala Yousafzai, Claudette Colvin, Audrey Faye Hendricks and Mary Shelley.
“Thank you for your candor, grace, logic and beautiful anger. Wield your sword. You are sitting at a round table of young women who have inspired and shaped humanity,” writes Hale.
