This year marks 25 years since the death of Kurt Cobain, and a new book from his former manager offers an intimate glimpse at the troubled Nirvana frontman.
The new book Serving The Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain was written by Danny Goldberg, who managed Nirvana beginning in 1990, just before their rise to megastardom.
Goldberg says he decided to write the book because the “media perception” of Cobain has been “overly focused on his dark side”, often missing his “sweetness and humor”. Goldberg says he “didn’t want to ignore his death, but I didn’t want the book to revolve around it.”
Do you remember where you were when you heard about Cobain’s death? Do we focus too much on his ‘dark side’?
