Attendees at Tom Morello’s SXSW show last weekend got a real treat as the former Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave guitarist reanimated the music of his past.
Celebrating the American Civil Liberties Union’s 100th birthday, Morello played a medley of his band’s hits which included “Bombtrack,” “Know Your Enemy,” “Bulls on Parade,” “Guerilla Radio,” “Sleep Now In the Fire,” “Cochise,” and then broke out something special.
For “Like A Stone,” late Audioslave singer Chris Cornell’s vocals rang from the speakers as Morello played.
Morello then closed out the set with Rage’s “Killing in the Name”.
