Kevin Smith Bringing Back Jay & Silent Bob

Fans of marijuana and excessive profanity (the Panda) can rejoice, as director Kevin Smith is bringing back Jay and Silent Bob.

Smith tweeted on Tuesday that a reboot in the works for 2019, with the first “pre-pre-production” meeting held on New Year’s Day. The iconic duo, comprised of Smith and actor Jason Mewes, made their first appearance in 1994’s Clerks and have appeared in several of Smith’s movies including Mallrats, Dogma, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

One thing’s for sure – Silent Bob will look a lot more slim this time around, as Kevin Smith has lost more than 50 pounds after suffering a heart attack 11 months ago.
