Firing up the wayback machine, there were some pretty decent rock albums released in the 2010s. Taking a look, Louder Sound listed the best 50 of the past decade.
The icons were busy, with AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, ZZ Top, David Bowie, Def Leppard, and Rush all putting out music. So did Clutch, Foo Fighters, Slash, Pearl Jam, Garbage, and Radiohead.
Newer bands making a giant splash in the 10s include The Struts, Royal Blood and The Black Keys.
Let’s also not forget the huge excitement around Tool’s long-awaited album, Fear Inoculum, which is only months old. The site described it as “intricate” and “a worthy investment of your time.”
Which were some of your favorites of the 2010s?
