With large gatherings banned by many cities in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus, the concert and festival season has been put on hold.
Besides bands unable to make money by hitting the road, employees at the venues are likely dealing with the loss of their incomes.
Thankfully, The Killers want to help. Taking to Instagram, the Utah rockers announced that when tickets for their upcoming tour go on sale, a portion of the price will be put towards “local organizations who help people whose service industry jobs are impacted by the Coronavirus”.
The plan is for the summer/fall dates to kick off on August 21, but they aren’t releasing the tickets just yet.
Which other bands are helping those affected financially by the coronavirus?
