The Last Big Singer We Still Have From The Grunge Era Pays Tribute to Cornell
July 3, 2019 10:12AM EDT
Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder hasn’t publicly spoken much about his friend a fellow artist, Chris Cornell, since his passing in 2017. Vedder did, however, honor Cornell by singing one of his songs in Germany on June 30th.
Vedder performed an intimate version of Cornell’s ‘Season’ for the audience. Cornell originally recorded the song in 1992 for the Singles soundtrack.
Loudwire points out that Vedder is the last of the biggest singers from the grunge era. Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Layne Staley and Cornell have all passed.
Who did you think would survive out of the grunge era? Does it surprise you to see that Eddie Vedder has managed to avoid the downside of his era?
