One of the necessary things to do during the pandemic is grocery shopping. How can you safely do it?
Here are tips from the Center for Public Health Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania.
Plan ahead. Don’t wait until you are completely out of something to go shopping. If the store looks crowded, try coming back at a different time. Make a list so you aren’t lingering in aisles too long. Bring your own disinfecting wipes to the store to clean shopping carts.
If you can order your groceries ahead of time and pick them up, do so. If you have food allergies, research alternatives in case the store doesn’t have what you need. Finally, don’t go that often, shop efficiently and when you get home, wash your hands, take off your shoes and take a shower.
