Perhaps Tom Morello is feeling nostalgic after all. Last week, the Rage Against The Machine guitarist put the brakes on reunion talks, but he did celebrate one of sorts.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Morello shared a photo of he with two members of the band’s original background staff, noting, “Feels like only yesterday we were rolling around Europe in a freezing cold urine stenched hash hazed metal blasting sweaty clothes draped drunk driven tour bus.”
Of course, fans were quick to ramp up the talk of them getting back together for real, with one commenter writing, “Now time to reunite with some other persons from RATM,” and another adding, “Get em all together Tom.”
Speaking about playing again under the Rage brand, Morello told Consequence of Sound, “I would say, rather than people waiting around for Rage Against the Machine, form your own band. Let’s hear what you have to say. Get out there and do it.”

What a reunion! #RATM’s original guitar tech (the long suffering @slimrichardson1) and #RATM’s original tour manager/soundman/trainspotting Yoda, Roger Patterson. Feels like only yesterday we were rolling around Europe in a freezing cold urine stenched hash hazed metal blasting sweaty clothes draped drunk driven tour bus.
