Tom Morello & Serj Tankian Honor Chris Cornell

May 18th marked two years since we lost Soundgarden/Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell and the rock community honored his life and music over the weekend. Cornell’s Audioslave bandmate Tom Morello was joined by System of A Down frontman Serj Tankian for a cover of “Like A Stone” at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio.
The crowd got a surprise during a medley of hits from Morello. Around 4 minutes into the performance, Serj walked onstage to a roaring crowd as both artists celebrated Cornell.
Cornell will be celebrated again this summer with Soundgarden’s Live from The Artist’s Den, an over two-hour concert and live album coming 26th.
