Slipknot and Evanescence were forced to cancel their Knotfest Meets Forcefest performances in Mexico City Saturday night after a stage barricade was broken down by fans during Behemoth’s performance.
Both Slipknot and Evanescence apologized for their cancelations saying that they would have played if the barricades weren’t broken. Both bands said they wanted to ensure the safety of fans and band members attending.
While their apologies were pretty non-descript, the video and photos surfacing online made Woodstock ’99 look like a Steely Dan concert. Concert goers broke down the barricade, then jumped onstage and destroyed Evanescence’s equipment, even setting drummer Will Hunt’s kit on fire!
Have you ever been to a show where the concert experience was ruined by rude people in the crowd?
